Overview
LocHook is a utility app that sends your device's location to a REST endpoint that you configure. This policy explains what data is involved, how it flows, and what Adelvey's role is.
The short version: Adelvey does not collect, store, or have access to your location data. Location data goes directly from your device to your configured endpoint — we never see it.
Location Data
LocHook accesses the following location information from your device:
- Latitude and longitude
- Altitude
- Speed
- Accuracy
- City, state/province, and country (via on-device reverse geocoding)
- Timestamp of the location event
This data is transmitted via HTTP POST directly to the endpoint URL you configure in the app. Adelvey has no access to this data, does not receive copies of it, and does not store it on any server.
You are solely responsible for the security and privacy practices of the endpoint you configure.
Background Location Access
LocHook requests "Always On" location permission to detect significant location changes while the app is in the background. This is the core function of the app. If you do not grant background location access, automatic tracking will not function.
You can revoke location permissions at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → LocHook.
Subscription & Purchase Data
LocHook uses RevenueCat to manage in-app subscriptions. When you make a purchase or restore a subscription, RevenueCat processes the transaction.
RevenueCat may collect:
- Purchase history and transaction identifiers
- Subscription status and renewal information
- Device identifiers used for subscription validation
RevenueCat's privacy policy is available at revenuecat.com/privacy. Adelvey does not store your payment information — all transactions are handled through Apple's App Store or Google Play.
Data We Do Not Collect
LocHook does not collect, use, or share:
- User accounts or personal identity information
- Analytics or usage telemetry
- Crash reports sent to Adelvey
- Advertising identifiers
- Any data for advertising purposes
Data Retention
All app data — your endpoint URL, custom fields, and the local retry queue — is stored exclusively on your device using the device's local storage. Adelvey has no access to this data. Deleting the app removes all locally stored data.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted at this URL. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
